Description

NGC 2985 is  located in the constellation Ursa Major.  It is approximately 70 million LYs from Earth and about 95,000 light years across. The galaxy is thought to contain a supermassive black hole with a mass of 160 million Suns.   Faint spiral arms wrap around the outside of the galaxy's core.  I tried to coax as much color out of the data as I could but it doesn't appear that it has much, or at least I wasn't successful in doing it.
